Year 11 students at Charters School in Sunningdale were invited to join Arsenal Football Club recently at their Sobha Realty Training Centre. The Year 11 students were put through their paces as part of the Arsenal players' UEFA B licence course.
The training sessions took place in the training Dome and the wo hour sessions mirrored the high intensity way that Arsenal play.
First team players David Raya and Karl Hein were two of the Arsenal team involved in the course. The students not only learnt new football skills and techniques, they were also able to speak with the players and hear first-hand what it is like to work in a professional football environment.
The coaches were impressed with the ability and efforts of the Year 11 students and at the end of the session they all received a signed team photo. Overall, it was amazing experience, and the school is extremely proud of the way its students conducted themselves.
