Old Windsor Angling Club,
In 2008, OWAC celebrated its Golden Anniversary, but has always been a friendly Members Club based on Thames River fishing, with a varied fixture list visiting many other fisheries and Clubs.
The present HQ is our Clubhouse at Home Park, Windsor, and now we are managing the fishing on Home Park on behalf of RBWM, we really are THE local Angling club. In addition, we have access to fishing at Old Windsor, Potts Field, Cookham, Clivedon, The Jubilee River, as well as seven miles of the Wey Navigation canal, 30 miles of the Basingstoke Canal, and we offer Reading and District Angling Association membership as an option.
We are pleased to accept anglers of any sex, age, or experience, and will help and encourage new anglers on request. Our meetings are on Tuesday evenings at the clubhouse, around 8.30pm, and we arrange matches on Sundays, with some Wednesday evening matches in the Summer.
Old Windsor Angling Club is a member of Angling Trust, supports the good work being done by Les Webber (“Gets Kids hooked on Fishing not drugs or crime”) at Wraysbury and is affiliated to Thames Valley Angling Association, Basingstoke Canal Angling Association and Reading and District Angling Association.

The Ascot Bridge Club was formed in 1977 . There is bridge played every Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening - except on bank holidays. Whilst the Monday afternoon section of the club plays exclusively duplicate pairs bridge, the Tuesday evening section includes a teams of four evenings several times every year.

Ascot Horticultural Society | A long established group affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, aiming to share and promote interest in all aspects of plants and the natural environment. The Rotary Club of Ascot principally provides support to well-known local community activities and raises money for local and international causes. With a motto 'Service Above Self'', its main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace and around the world. There are 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide in 34,000 Rotary Clubs in nearly every country. It is not affiliated with any political or religious organisations.
Locally, it is particularly well-known for organising the hugely popular New Year's Day Sunninghill Wheelbarrow Race, which raises thousands of pounds annually for the Ascot District Day Centre and other charities. The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) is one of 47 Wildlife Trusts working across the UK to achieve the shared aim of securing a better future for wildlife.
BBOWT was founded in 1959 (as the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Naturalist Trust - BBONT) by local ecologists who could see the extent of harm being done to the wonderfully rich natural environment of the three counties. For over 50 years we have worked with local people to make Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire richer in wildlife.
BBOWT currently has about 54,000 members and more than 1,300 active volunteers. It is thanks to our members and volunteers that we are able to keep going - we do not receive any core governmental funding. Our income comes from a range of sources including grants, legacies, business support and charitable trusts donations, but most important of all are our membership subscriptions......

Bracknell Choral Society Autumn Concert | Following a busy and successful season of concerts in which the choir sang music ranging from Handel's Messiah to Broadway blockbusters, Bracknell Choral Society is looking forward to an exciting programme in 2023 - 2024.
The first of our two concerts this term will be on Sunday 19th November 2023 at Newbold Church, Newbold College, Binfield RG42 4AN at 4pm. The programme will consist of John Rutter's Mass of the Children and we will welcome Taplow Girls' Choir, led by Gillian Dibden to join us for this beautiful and moving work. We will also be singing A Little Jazz Mass, one of Bob Chilcott's most popular choral works to date, a setting of the Latin Mass in which the various movements embrace a variety of jazz styles. We are also delighted to be including a piece Music by the choir's patron, the distinguished composer and conductor, Ronald Corp. We will be joined by soloists, Ailsa Campbell, soprano, Will Harmer, baritone and the British Sinfonietta orchestra. Green Drinks meets on the third Thursday evening of the month, at the Bull in Bracknell, to discuss environmental matters
The Hythe Singers is a small and enthusiastic group of amateur singers. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings during term time, from 7:30pm – 9:45pm, currently at St. Jude’s Junior School in Englefield Green, as our usual venue at The Hythe Centre, Egham Hythe, is being used by the NHS. We give three concerts a year.
We perform a wide and varied repertoire, from arrangements of popular songs to music by classical composers from the 12th to the 21st century. You can hear some of our favourite pieces recorded before and during Lockdown on our YouTube channel.

About Inner Wheel
The first Inner Wheel club was founded in Manchester, England in 1924 and clubs have since spread to 103 countries with around 100,000 members worldwide, 13,000 being in Great Britain and Ireland. Inner Wheel clubs have an outstanding record of service both in the community and internationally. The Inner Wheel Club of Ascot was founded 59 years ago by Mrs F Newport and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer (of whom we were very fond) was still a member until quite recently.
Initially members were the wives of Rotarians, Rotary being a club for men only. Inner Wheel is like the hub of the Rotary wheel – thus its name.

The National Women's Register - where women flourish, meet in North Ascot, every 2 weeks, at 8pm in members' houses. Meetings are informal with a warm welcome, whatever age or personal circumstance. Groups may arrange theatre visits and social visits,, as well as national and regional conferences.

Choirs Performs Songs from Stage & Screen to Support Local Good Neighbours Charity | Local community choir, New Egham Singers, will perform their first concert of 2023 on Saturday 1st April at The Rose Theatre, St Mary’s School, Ascot. The concert will feature fantastic hits from well-known television, cinema and stage shows and will be supported by a superb 7-piece live band.
Founded in 2009, New Egham Singers (NES), which now incorporates Progeny Chamber Choir, has become a familiar part of the life of the area. NES, led by Musical Director (MD) Dr Guy Bunce, welcomes singers of different backgrounds, ages and musical abilities get together at fun weekly rehearsals to sing a wide variety of songs. Whilst Progeny, overseen by MD Patrick Martin, tackles slightly more challenging music. Through its many performances, the choir has raised thousands of pounds for a variety of local charities.
