The Friends of St Mary's Winkfield is a charity set up to raise money for the conservation, embellishment and maintenance of fabric and facilities of the medieval church of St Mary's in Winkfield, East Berkshire, south of Windsor.

The Church of St Mary has been a focal point in Winkfield for over 700 years. The Friends' aim is to preserve this magnificent building in the best possible condition for generations to come.

St Mary's is a place of peace and all are welcome. This wonderful building is a piece of English history and our aim is to ensure it remains so.

The cost of maintenance of St Mary's church and of its amenities is wholly carried by voluntary donations. Please help , either by becoming a Friend  or by a donation. From time to time, the Friends organise community fund-raising events.

The Friends have raised about £18,000 so far, including a dedicated account to fund the renovation of the organ of St Mary’s Winkfield.  This included an innovative Pipe Sponsorship campaign, which has now achieved sponsorship of more than 90% of the 800-odd pipes in the organ.

For the pipe sponsorship we have a special web page –  Please visit

Latimer Minster Church Ascot is an outward looking church for East Berkshire, led by Tim & Vanessa Norman.

Church for all, whether you would normally associate yourself with church or not.

LMA is an informal Anglican church, led by Tim and Vanessa Norman and started in 2014. It is a small, but growing group of people with a desire to develop a house of prayer for East Berkshire and beyond, and to be a place where people join in God’s great adventure to bring positive change.

At  Sunday gatherings there is plenty of time for worship, Bible teaching, discussion and prayer, as well as space for you to meet new people and spend time with old friends.

Children start in the service, then move into a separate room for specific children’s activities provided by our dedicated children’s team (all DBS checked). We also have a crèche corner, where parents can enjoy toys and activities with their under-5s, while still being part of the service.

Prayer, Contact groups and other activities happen at different times.

We run Alpha, which is a great place to explore questions.
