Art in the Savill Garden 2019 will run from September 25th to November 24th. Free with paid entry to the Savill Garden.

Horticulturists and art lovers will enjoy an inspirational day at The Savill Garden, discovering impressive sculptures nestled within the Garden’s magnificent blooms and woodland. Each sculpture, provided by the Surrey Sculpture Society, has been inspired by the natural world and finds its place within the surrounding beauty of The Savill Garden.

25 years of the Surrey Sculpture Society| From small beginnings – fourteen visionary sculptors getting their heads together in 1994 – Surrey Sculpture Society is now a self-funding group almost 300 strong, from emerging artists to well-known professionals, with a diverse range of styles and skills. In 2019, celebrating 25 years of creativity and the Society are still proud to uphold the same founding principles - to provide exhibition opportunities for our members, to encourage interaction and exchange of ideas and to promote a greater appreciation of sculpture within society.

Standard entry fees apply for The Savill Garden. Entry to the exhibition is included within the price of your ticket to the Garden and all sculptures are for sale with prices ranging from £200 – £10,000+.

There will be a piano recital in the Main Hall of the School on the evening of November 15th, with music by Frederick Chopin and others. The first half comprises six students playing piano pieces by Bach, Beethoven Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninov - truly a mix of classical piano music. I am giving the whole of the second half and this is all very well known Chopin. Refreshments will be available in the interval as part of the ticket price of £15 per head.
