Ascot are delighted to announce the winner of the Royal Ascot Fashion Design Competition 2023, as judged by one of the Official Sponsors, LK Bennett. Many congratulations to Iola Gilder, a 15year-old student from Garth Hill College, Bracknell. "We hope you will agree, a particularly elegant dress that is perfect for Royal Ascot 2023".
"We were thrilled with the number of entries this year, which included local design colleges, and the judges were particularly impressed by the quality of design on display given the young age of the entrants."
Iola will now have the exciting opportunity to see her dress come to life with a trip to the LK Bennett HQ in London to choose fabrics and learn more about the design process. She will also be involved with the design of her hat by a leading milliner – tba. We are very much looking forward to seeing her in her outfit on the Saturday of Royal Ascot and following her future design career which looks very promising.
