York House is now open to provide face to face support to RBWM residents.
The building, located on Sheet Street, Windsor hosts a dedicated resident services hub where residents are able to discuss anything from Council Tax to reporting a missed bin collection in person with a resident advisor. York House will be open to residents from 9am until 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10am until 5pm on Wednesdays. Residents will also be able to access services at Windsor Library and Maidenhead library giving access to our services seven days a week.
On-street parking can be found nearby and the closest car park is Victoria Street. York Road has three disabled parking bays for disabled customer use.

At the London Antiquarian Book Fair on Thursday, 6th June, members of Papplewick’s Bibliomaniacs Club ran their own bookstall.
The Bibliomaniacs, led by Jonathan Cooper, Head of Classics at the school, celebrate all things bookish. The boys and their mascot toy dog, Caxton, enjoy activities and visits to libraries throughout the year.
Headmaster Tom Bunbury said: “The boys acquitted themselves excellently at the stall and seemed to impress everyone they met. Sales were pretty steady and the boys were particularly busy in the first few hours.

To celebrate World Book Day, students at Charters School in Sunningdale were treated to a week of book related events.
On Tuesday 5th March the girls in Year 9 welcomed Holly Bourne, whose latest book, ‘Are We All Lemmings and Snowflakes?’ was published last summer. Her books for young adults touch on the frailties of mental health and the pressures often experienced by females in the modern world.
Holly opened her talk by telling the girls that it is usually around Year 9 that people stop reading for pleasure, but that she was visiting to remind everyone about the time when reading was fun! She spoke of her desire to write books which she hoped would make people feel less alone and pondered if mental health could be preventable if we lived in a kinder world.
On Thursday 7th March the school’s Year 7 students met the author and screenwriter Andy Briggs who writes the Hero.com and Villain.net novels. Andy spoke to the students for an hour about his love of writing and how he believes he has ‘the coolest job in the world’.

The new pothole scheme, due to launch on 1 September 2019, forms part of a series of commitments to improve highways across the Royal Borough and will see all reported potholes over 40mm deep on roads and over 25mm deep on footways fixed within 24 hours regardless of which type of road or path it is located on. Currently, only potholes over 40mm deep on high speed or strategic routes or potholes over 25mm in town centre locations have to be fixed within 24 hours.

Thames Hospice were delighted to welcome members from Ascots President’s Club along to the new Thames Hospice site by Bray Lake, along with Penny Bevan Rahming. The President's Club were the driving force behind the establishment of the Paul Bevan Cancer Foundation in Ascot in 1985. Following the death of her husband Paul in 1981, Penny Bevan Rahming and Paul’s friend Dr Geoff Cook, wanted to provide day-to-day support for local people with a life-limiting diagnosis. They were supported by the President’s Club.
The Foundation merged with Thames Hospice in 2005, and the Day Therapy Unit moved from Ascot to the current Thames Hospice in Windsor in 2017.
Day Therapy services will be amongst the first services to move to the new hospice site in 2020, where we will be able to double our provision and care for more than 600 people a year. The legacy of the Paul Bevan name and Present's Club will continue at our new hospice.

Papplewick School, Year 4 boys visited the Natural History Museum, London, as part of a project on habitats and food chains.
During the visit the boys explored the various zones of the museum. They learned the origins of myths of unicorns and mermaids and discussed how human interference has affected food chains.
The boys were particularly excited by the Dinosaur and the Restless Earth Zones, developing their knowledge of how long the dinosaurs inhabited the Earth and the events that eventually led to their extinction. They also took part in an excellent "Adventure to the Deep" show, finding out about the teeming life in the different levels of the world’s oceans and how human expansion is causing problems with some of the world's most diverse and vulnerable ecosystems.
