The Royal School 175th Anniversary Victorian Summer Fayre was held on Saturday 29th June 2019, in Windsor Park.  Half of all the funds raised from the Fayre will go to Team Malawi to help build classrooms and allow access to education for children in Malawi.

Royal School Headmistress, Mrs Coombridge,   writes:  "In the last week of June 2019, The Royal School  celebrated 175 years since the building of the school!

It was 176 years ago that HRH Queen Victoria at the request of HRH Prince Albert decided that the children of the families in The Great Park, Windsor, should have access to quality education.  Over the next two years,The Royal Schools (one room for boys and one room for girls) was built.  The Royal School opened 37 years before free primary education was available for all children in England.

Today The Royal School is a voluntary aided school catering for the local community.  It makes great use of it’s fantastic setting within The Great Park.

The Royal School community have decided as part of the celebrations they will  make a difference to children who don’t have the easy access to education, consequently we are raising funds throughout our celebration to build classrooms in a school in Malawi.

Our celebration included a Victorian Fayre on Saturday 29th June 11am – 3.00pm. We hope that our anniversarycan bring great joy to our local community and the children of Malawi."
