Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa, Ascot Invests £500,000 to Help Local Businesses: The Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa, near Ascot has invested around £500,000 in a revitalisation programme for its conference centre to provide local businesses with an outstanding venue for meetings and corporate events. A popular location for companies in the surrounding area, the hotel’s fifteen boardrooms and function suites now excel today’s expectations for facilities, technology, style and comfort.
Commenting on the refurbishment General Manager Fiona King said; “The Berystede has been at the forefront of conference facilities in Ascot for some time. Tthis upgrade takes us to a higher level and we look forward to sharing it with both new and existing customers.”
The four private boardrooms, which accommodate up to 12 and 16 delegates, are now finished in rich shades of mulberry and mushroom with American walnut furniture, contemporary artwork and supremely comfortable eight-hour delegate chairs. Standard facilities include blackout blinds, a large wall-mounted LCD screen, interactive white board, a fridge with cold drinks and free Wi-Fi. There are also four, smaller syndicate rooms for a maximum of eight delegates.
Finished to a similar high level, the new Berkshire Lounge break-out area provides a more informal environment for networking between meetings with limitless hot and cold drinks.
Other suites include the Park & Ascot and smaller Wentworth, which offer a flexible meeting space for up to 150 and 110 theatre style and 120 and 80 for a sit-down dinner. The largest is the Windsor & Eton Suite, a magnificent air-conditioned room for up to 330 delegates theatre style and divisible into two self-contained rooms with private bar and lounge areas.
Just 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport and close to the commercial districts of Slough, Bracknell, Camberley and Farnborough, the Macdonald Berystede is one of the most exclusive meetings and events venues in Berkshire. All fifteen conference suites have natural daylight, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. There is also free secure, gated parking for up to 250 cars in the grounds, which are an ideal setting for team-building days or weekends.
Delegates staying overnight have use of the hotel’s contemporary-style VITAL Spa with its indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy pool, 18-metre indoor pool, thermal suite, Technogym, relaxation area and six treatment rooms (treatments extra).
Day delegate rates start from a reasonable £45 while the 24-hour residential rate is from £180 to include a full English breakfast and three-course dinner in the AA rosette Hyperion restaurant. Partners are welcome to join delegates for an event at the hotel and enjoy the spa and other hotel facilities from just £20 extra per night.
