2nd sunninghill browniesHave you made a New Year’s resolution to find a new hobby or giving something back to the community? Well here is your chance!

We are always on the lookout for new helpers in Guiding – for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides but we are currently making a special appeal on behalf of 2ND SUNNINGHILL BROWNIES

Were you ever a Brownie or wish you had been one? Being a Brownie is great fun and I am writing to ask for your help in making sure that local girls can continue to enjoy the benefits of Brownies into the future.

At the end of 2011 Brown Owl Lyn  Adams will be retiring after 28 years of running the pack.  She has had a wonderful army of helpers over the years but it is she who has had full responsibility for running the pack as unit guider for all this time. I feel it is only fair to her that she leaves on a high with a thriving pack continuing to run successfully.

In order for this to happen we need one or two people who are able to take on the role of  Unit Guider along with additional regular helpers. If we do not find anyone willing to take over, the pack will close. Please don’t think we have people waiting in the wings because unfortunately we do not!
A pack of 24 Brownies requires 3 adults (females aged 18-65) to be at the meeting and at least one has to be in uniform and have completed the Girlguiding Leadership Qualification.
Please give serious consideration as to whether this is something you would like to do or whether you know of any friends, relatives or neighbours who might like to give it a go. It really is great fun and can be flexible – most Guiders manage to make it work around other work and family commitments.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to take up a very worthwhile and rewarding interest! For more information and a chat about what’s involved please contact r southascotbrownies@hotmail.com
