Papplewick continues to thrive with the boys celebrating a record sixteen awards to UK senior schools this year. These include an unprecedented five King’s Scholarships with four to Eton and one to Westminster. Academic Scholarships were also won to Winchester and Harrow, and an academic exhibition to Sherborne. In addition, Music Scholarships were won to Westminster, Tonbridge, and Sherborne, Music Exhibitions to Eton, Winchester and Tonbridge, and an Art Scholarship and Drama Scholarship to Harrow. Although such results may match those of any ‘pressure-cooker’ school, Papplewick prides itself on having an atmosphere as far removed from a pressure-cooker as possible where boys are selected on character, not ability, and where the key priority is for the boys to revel in the fun, friendship, and freedom that all prep school aged children should be able to enjoy prior to life becoming rather more serious at senior school.

Headmaster, Tom Bunbury says ‘The proof really is in the pudding as they say - I truly believe that happy boys produce optimum results in an environment where they are expected to work hard but also have fantastic fun. I am immensely proud not only of the boys’ great efforts but also, importantly, of the dedicated and kind staff who are so committed to the boys’ success'
