Papplewick School Chapel Choir headed off to East Anglia at half-term to sing a service in the beautiful Wren chapel at Emmanuel College Cambridge and to give a lunchtime concert at Ely Cathedral.  The choir of 24 boys and 8 adults presented a programme of sacred music by leading English contemporary church composers such as John Rutter and Bob Chilcott.  They also included the school favourite "insanae et vanae curae" by Haydn  in the vast acoustic at Ely, accompanied on the mighty organ. A number of the choristers have recently won music scholarships to Eton and Harrow and provided instrumental solos alongside the choral repertoire.

Headmaster Tom Bunbury said " This was an inspiring opportunity for our Choir, the boys had a great time together on tour and the audience was very appreciative."
