Papplewick  School, Ascot  Visit:

Papplewick  boys were delighted to welcome back Sadie James, a former art teacher at the school, and former resident of Sunninghill who now runs a gallery and works as an author and artist in Coral Bay in Australia.  Sadie signed copies of her most recent book The Bubble illustrated by herself which is the delightful story of so called Nudibranchs, tiny colourful sea slugs living on the reef hiding in the book.  Sadie has previously written and illustrated The Whale Shark Song which was short listed for a Crichton Award as part of the Children's Book Council of Australia's Book of the Year Awards.

Headmaster Tom Bunbury said "It is always a pleasure to welcome Sadie back to Papplewick and to have the opportunity of seeing her latest book The Bubble which I understand was inspired by years of snorkelling on the Ningaloo Reef."
