On Wednesday 17th July, Charters School in Sunningdale held the annual Celebration of Achievement Evening, which this year was sponsored by a number of local businesses.  The event celebrates the progress and achievements of students not sitting public exams during the current academic year and Ascot Grange, Dormy House Care Home, Ascot Racecourse, Londis of Sunninghill and Coworth Park each sponsored a year group’s prizes.  Certificates, cups and special awards for both academic achievement and effort were awarded by Ms Ellie Wallace, Chair of Trustees.

The event, which is always exceptionally well supported by parents and staff, is one of the school’s most prestigious events and is a wonderful opportunity for all those connected with Charters School to recognise the hard work and dedication of the students. The addition of the sponsors really added an extra dimension to the proceedings as each company delivered a short speech before their year group received their awards, allowing the audience to hear how well regarded the school is viewed throughout the local community.

Students were also selected for awards for their contribution to school life. The school recognises that students make progress all the way through their school career and develop skills in many areas; this is reflected in the number of the awards presented to students for their contribution to school life.
